Should e-scooters be banned from cycle lanes?

Cycle lanes help to keep traffic moving smoothly on roads that may end up getting somewhat congested if a cyclist ends up on the road and in front of a car, without the ability to overtake far enough due to traffic that could be in another lane or on the other side of the road.

Peddle cycles are mostly what is used in cycle lanes, but I have now started to see those who use e-scooters using these cycle lanes as well.

Do you think e-scooters should be banned from cycle lanes?

In our place, cycle lanes are specifically for bicycles and ebikes. Some people who try to ride ebikes and escooters on cycle lanes get tickets from traffic when caught. I believe escooter should be banned on cycle lanes.
