Do you feel enforcement should be stricter when it comes to e-bikes and e-scooters?

I don't know about anyone else, but I do not think there is enough enforcement being taken when it comes to those who are breaking the rules when it comes to e-scooters or e-bikes. For example, here in the UK, we are supposed to see confiscations, but it still seems as though there are way too many people on e-bikes and e-scooters at the moment in places that they should not be.

Are rules for e-bikes and e-scooters being enforced enough, do you feel, or should they be stricter?

Honestly, yes – I do believe there should be stricter enforcement. I'm not a person who dislikes e-bikes and e-scooters – I ride one myself, but there are some issues with irresponsible riders, and I hate the lack of consistency in how the problem is handled.

Why stricter enforcement is needed:

• Increased safety of people using pavements – I've seen how often e-scooters almost crash into pedestrians, especially elderly people and kids. It wouldn't hurt anyone to have more enforcement of traffic rules.
• Protection of responsible drivers – It's only a small number of people who ride irresponsibly, but they create a really bad reputation for others.
• Elimination of antisocial behavior – There's been a growing trend lately of riding on pavements, riding in groups, and generally behaving in an antisocial manner.
• Clear rules – People often aren't aware of how they're supposed to use their e-scooter or bicycle because enforcement isn't strict enough.

In our place, ebikes are treated just like bicycle, they do not require licence or registration but they do have to follow traffic rules. Electric scooter are treated like petrol scooter and have to follow the same rules like registration, licenced to ride, etc. In my place, rules are strictly implemented.
