Should e-bikes and e-scooters be banned from pavements?

Something I see a lot of is e-bikes and e-scooters being used on pavements, especially where I live, and I have on a few occasions seen a few near misses where a pedestrian has almost been hit when walking on the pavement.

I personally do feel that e-bikes and e-scooters would be better used on the road, but those who use them should go through some kind of course to be allowed to do so legally, for the safety of all.

What are your thoughts? Do you feel e-bikes and e-scooters should be banned from pavements?

In our country, you aren't allowed to ride your ebike or escooter on pavement. It is againts traffic rule. However, sometimes we can see some people violating this rule. Interestingly, the rule isn't strictly imposed on children.

I don’t think there are any rules that ban people from riding ebike on pavements in my place but rididing motorbikes on pavements is againt traffic law. Electric scooters have to follow the same rules that are applied for normal motionbikes for riding on pavement.
