Yose Power eBike Conversion Kit Review

Before I converted my ordinary bicycle into a motor-powered one, I kept coming across the Yose Power eBike conversion kit. I found that the price was very attractive, many people seemed to enjoy using it, and the fact that it can be installed on your own bicycle makes a lot of sense. After having used it for a couple of months, I came up with this review to share my experiences with you.

What I wanted was something affordable, reliable and easy to assemble. Being an average rider rather than a pro-bike mechanic, I decided to go with the Yose Power for the following reasons:

  • The motor wheel was pre-assembled
  • The wiring was colour-coded
  • Reasonable prices for batteries
  • Many satisfied owners reported on their experiences

Let me show you how it worked out for me in the end.

Yose Power EBike Conversion Kit Review: Installation Process: My Experience

To be honest, I anticipated some problems with installation. However, when assembling the kit, I realized that everything goes pretty smoothly. Overall, the process took about 90 minutes, most of which I spent carefully organizing the cables inside the frame of my bike.

What surprised me the most during installation was as follows:

Motor wheel went in my fork without any difficulty Pedal assist sensor fit into place quite easily Simple plug-and-play connections for both controller and display Clear instructions

I'd say anyone with average skills would cope easily with installation of the kit mentioned above.

Yose Power EBike Conversion Kit Review: How Does It Ride? Performance & Experience

As soon as I got on the road, I realized that the ride became smoother and quieter. I ordered the model with 250W motor, which is allowed in my region, and it provides sufficient speed boost. I must say that the motor is unexpectedly strong and efficient.

So here are some aspects of its performance:

Gentle pedal-assist activation Very quiet operation Reliable acceleration Smooth rides in flat territory Easily climbable hills

It's definitely not as fast as a motorcycle and its torque can be called low. In other words, this system is great for everyday rides and commuting.

Yose Power EBike Conversion Kit Review: Battery Capacity & Its Lifespan

As a rule, I use the battery 36V 13AH, and it has provided me with enough power for long rides. As a result, I've managed to cover such distances on one charge:

40-60km

In case there's less steep terrain and the level of pedal assist is set to minimum, I get a bit further up to 70km. As for battery charging, it takes about 5-6 hours. So far, it works just fine, no matter how many kilometers I've already covered with the bike.

Yose Power EBike Conversion Kit Review: Build Quality & Reliability

Having used this kit for more than half a year now, I can confirm that all of its components work reliably. I didn't have to fix anything. The motor wheel feels quite sturdy, its spokes remained intact for a long time, and wires never get loose. The controller has proven to be pretty durable and weatherproof. As for the display, even though its functions are limited, they are sufficient for riding. Moreover, Yose Power customer support helped me quickly find the answer to a question regarding installation. This impressed me greatly.

Yose Power EBike Conversion Kit Review: Pros & Cons: My Verdict

Pros:

Affordable in comparison with similar kits Quiet and gentle motor installation is simple Battery capacity is good Satisfactory performance after several months of riding Available in different wheel sizes & motor power Great for everyday commuting and cycling

Cons:

Not as powerful as mid-drive systems Requires special attention when routing the cables Limited functions of the display a little heavier than premium models

Yose Power EBike Conversion Kit Review: Target Audience

Overall, I'd say this is the best choice for the following target audience:

People willing to make a reliable bicycle for commuting Casual riders who wish to ease their journey uphill Anyone who wants to have an affordable e-bike upgrade for the old bike

For those who need more power and torque, you should look elsewhere though. For me, it's been a great investment!

Yose Power EBike Conversion Kit Review: My Final Verdict

Converting my ordinary bike to e-bike with Yose Power kit was a smart thing to do. Affordable pricing, easy assembly and reliable functioning have made my everyday rides pleasant and effortless. While it's certainly not the most powerful e-bike, it still has plenty of advantages over other similar products.

If I could, I'd buy it again for sure!
